Far away from all the activity near the Grande Canal, the real "lived in" Venice still exists. The glory days are long gone, but the worn elegance of a still great city is so alluring. The peeling paint, the doorways and rooms flooded with the rising water level, Venice is ancient, slowly sinking, but still proud.

Wow ! Bob, those orange tones and somehow softed with ocre pinks, your oranges and pinks like in the Venetian red ( went again to see this Turnerian athmospheric marvel of yours ) are just superb. Love the pure vermillon strokes on the water and the cold tones that balance so well everything. Masterful work. Love it a lot. FL
