There are a lot of nooks and crannies on this old bridge, with all sorts of color variations on it. I just reduced it to very simple and quick brushstrokes to capture that fleeting feeling of an afternoon in the magical city of Florence. This is really just a sketch. I put the brush down when I got the light on the bridge and clouds close, leaving the water even more unrefined.
