The area around Paso Robles near the central California coast is home to some of the finest wineries in the world. No, they didn't pay me to say that, it's just true. It has a unique feel and atmosphere, and amazing soil variations which when combined with the myriad micro-climates creates something that is one of a kind. That being said, this painting is simply about my interpretation of a sleepy vineyard and some expressive clouds.
R. W. Goetting is a third generation Californian born in Sacramento who has painted scenes from California and around the world for nearly forty years.

Back to admire this marvel again dear Bob. The way you associated and composed the color scheme is splendid. A most fine example of complementary palette. Really like how the blue area of the abstracted mountains divide the composition and at the same time it creates such a fine and subtle balance. Wonderful! LF!
