Title
Poopdeck Pappy's boat in Morro Bay
Artist
R W Goetting
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
This old blue boat sits way back in the bay, quite a ways from Morro Rock. It's been there for years. I have always just called it Poopdeck Pappy's boat in honor of our old friend Popeye. Somehow the light this morning made the old girl look her best. I really just aimed at translating the casual atmosphere of the place. Those cool colors were fun to use

You captured the atmosphere of the bay Robert and I love the mystery in the loose brush work. Very well done! L/F

Now, I have to tell you more. I'm really in love with this painting, Bob. Your exquisite, sensitive multitude of cool tones gives at the first view somehow a ''close'' atmosphere of a bay where the light comes only for few time, but then the high sky line brings the miracle ... Love the boat and imagine it silently moving on the slow ripples / waves of the water in the magical morning light. Brilliant hints of red and reddish violet. Gorgeous work, as always.

You are too kind Ana, thank you! I want to congratulate you on all your recent sales. Success so well deserved!
