Title
Gondolas from the bridge
Artist
R W Goetting
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
The famous black gondolas ply the canals of Venice, complete with their blue tarps. The Venetian Doge centuries ago grew tired of the over-decorated gondolas everyone had and decreed that they all be painted black. This is an unusual view of them from one of the many bridges in the watery city.

Wow ! Amazing work, amazing composition, Bob ! I'm out of superlatives about this new painting of yours. I love it so much. The power of the composition is outstanding with the strong diagonals that balance perfectly the assertive vertical created by the down gondola. Fantastic poit of view and greatly unique masterpiece. The way you painted the light of the canal's water and those green tones are superb. Love this work beyond words. f,l
