Description
I went for a walk on one of the worlds most beautiful beaches just before sunrise. Kailua Beach is on the windward side of Oahu. It is less crowded allowing one to connect with the island. This is a quick knife and brush sketch, the idea being to capture the fleeting wind, sea and sky.

R/W Bob, I have seen countless Hawaii beach paintings and indeed used to have a great online friend and artist who specialized in painting Hawaii beaches. However, I must say that I'm delighting in your as usual unique interpretation of your subject. Quickly laid down maybe, but those kind of paintings are so often some of the most beautiful. You magnificently achieved your goal of fleeting wind, sea and sky in wonderful maroon/mauvey and bold brushstrokes and I just love that buttery creamy yellow throughout !
