Description
The Kayak Shop is right along the dock in Morro Bay California near some really nice restaurants and shops. In the morning you can hear the seals and sea gulls making all their racket as the fog starts to lift. I have sat at a dock side table and watched all the bay activity with great amusement. I remember watching some knucklehead out there in a kayak capsize himself not 20 feet from the dock. He was all right, just a little wet so it was pretty funny. He was in a red kayak, so if you want to play it safe, rent one of the yellow ones. This painting is my typical lumpy crunchy approach to a casual subject.

Hello R/W Bob. The colors here are so tempting and eye catching and energetic in the foreground . Then I love how it all seems to still as I look out to sea. "Typical lumpy crunchy" ...well, I had to smile at that humble description of your awesome works! Rich and textured, yes, but lumpy crunchy? Yes, they ARE that , and beautifully so. So wonderfully you sugested the foggy morning by those colored, airy greys that are perfectly contrapointed by the vibrant colors here and there.
